Privacy Policy
Slammo, LLC ("Slammo," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit slammo.org or use any of our services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, please reach out at slammo@slammo.org.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
When you submit our contact / quote-request form, we collect the information you choose to enter, which typically includes:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your address (entered via Google-powered autocomplete)
- Your company name (optional)
- The service you're interested in
- The message describing what you're looking for
If you create a customer account or place an order through our website (planned features), we may also collect a password (stored only as a one-way hash, never as plain text), order history, and any addresses or preferences you save.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting provider and security tools may automatically log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the referring URL. This information is used to keep the site running, prevent abuse, and understand which pages are useful to visitors.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote, and provide the services you request
- Communicate with you about your project or order
- Maintain, secure, and improve our websites
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or technical issues
- Comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for unrelated advertising or share it with data brokers.
3. How we share information
We share your information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers who help us operate the website and respond to inquiries (see Section 4 for the specific providers we use). These providers are contractually permitted to use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal compliance if we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case any new owner would be bound by the commitments in this policy.
4. Third-party services
Our website relies on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.
Formspree
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which receives and forwards form submissions to us by email. The information you enter into the form passes through Formspree's servers. See Formspree's privacy policy.
Google Maps Platform (Places API)
The Address field in our contact form uses Google's Places API to suggest matching addresses as you type. The text you enter into that field is sent to Google to generate suggestions. Use of this feature is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service.
Hosting & infrastructure
Our website and any future backend services run on standard commercial hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, which may process technical log information as described in Section 1.
5. Cookies & local storage
Our website uses your browser's localStorage to remember information that improves your experience on the site — for example, your shopping cart contents and (if you sign in) a session token that keeps you logged in between visits. This information is stored on your device, not transmitted to us beyond what's necessary to provide the relevant feature.
We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent.
You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings.
6. Data retention
We keep contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your request and for a reasonable period afterward to support follow-up service, generally up to three years from your last interaction. Account and order records, when applicable, are retained for as long as required to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request earlier deletion at any time using the contact details in Section 11.
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your information
- Withdraw consent you have previously given
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email slammo@slammo.org. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete personal information we have collected, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect, including HTTPS encryption for our website, restricted access to systems that hold customer information, and security best practices for any account credentials we store. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adult consumers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or communicated to you directly where appropriate. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
